Wholesome, Chocolatey, and Unbelievably Unnaughty

O'boy, have I got news for you. We have been quiet online of late, and it's because we have been busy behind the scenes, creating - the world's cleanest and probably tastiest, wholesome cookies. When in the final stages of this project, I thought - Heck, I am going to share this recipe with our customers, so here it goes...
🍪 Our Choc Chip Cookie Recipe — Yours to Keep!
You know those cookies that hit the sweet spot between chewy and crisp, with just the right amount of chocolate? The team and I have been working hard to get that balance just right — and we’re finally there.
These choc chip cookies have become a bit of a staple in the kitchen at my house. They’re made with simple ingredients, no refined sugar, and they happen to be gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan. But honestly? They just taste like a really good cookie.
And because I am a feeder, and sharing is kind of my thing —I’ve decided to give the recipe away. Yep, the full thing, no strings attached. I hope it brings as much joy to your kitchen as it has to ours.
🍪 Choc Chip Cookies (Makes 10)
You’ll need:
• 100g coconut oil
• 1/3 cup coconut sugar
• 1 tbsp maple syrup
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 flax egg (1 tbsp ground flax + 2.5 tbsp water)
• 3/4 cup almond flour
• 1/2 cup oat flour
• 1/4 tsp baking soda
• Pinch of salt
• 1/2 cup dairy-free dark choc chips (plus a few extras for topping)
How to make them:
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan forced) and line a baking tray.
2. Mix the flax and water in a small bowl and set aside for 5 minutes to thicken.
3. In a large bowl, cream together the coconut oil, coconut sugar and maple syrup. Add the vanilla and flax egg and stir to combine.
4. Add the almond flour, oat flour, baking soda and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
5. Fold through the choc chips.
6. Roll into 10 balls, place on your tray, and gently press down. Top with a few extra choc chips.
7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden around the edges.
8. Let them cool for a few minutes (they’ll firm up as they cool — if you can wait that long).
They’re ridiculously moreish, freezer-friendly, and perfect with a coffee. If you bake them, we’d love to see — tag us @wellnessbytess 💛
